The dream of having your own home

For young families in particular, the dream of owning your own home is challenging in cities like Vienna because building land prices are so high. In Wiener Neustadt, however, this dream has been realised. The family found a new home in a newly developed residential district.

The challenge

The building density on a site with 50 detached houses meant that there were special building technology requirements. To make cost-effective use of renewable energy, an air-source heat pump system was considered. It needed to have particularly low noise emissions and be able to incorporate photovoltaics if requested in the future.

The solution

The centrepiece of the heating system is the flexoTHERM exclusive VWF 87/4 heat pump in combination with the aroCOLLECT outdoor air unit. This is an especially quiet outdoor unit and suited to densely built plots of land, either on a residential or terraced housing estate.

The aroCOLLECT air unit placed in the garden complies with the DIN EN 1176 playground equipment standard and is therefore especially robust and safe.

A uniSTOR VIH RW 300 with cylinder capacity of 300 litres was installed for hot water generation.

The project was equipped with Vaillant photovoltaics as standard. With the 2kW auroPOWER photovoltaic system on every roof, residents can permanently reduce their emissions and electricity costs. Each can be retrofitted with an eloPACK battery storage system.
