What type of heating can be optimised?

The heating optimisation can be carried out by owners of a (condensing or non-condensing) gas boiler in combination with a Vaillant control unit.
Heating optimisation cannot be carried out for heat pumps, systems without a control unit or with a large storage unit (400 l or more), hybrid systems (e.g. heat pumps with gas-fired condensing boiler) or cascade systems (e.g. several gas-fired condensing boilers connected in parallel or series).

Where can I find the control unit for my heating?

How are the savings potentials listed devided (in %) and how should they be understood?

The savings potentials shown come from external sources (e.g. RWTH Aachen, 2022; ITG Dresden, 2017) and internal analyses. The savings potentials in the areas of heating and hot water supply should be considered separately, because their weighting in terms of total consumption can differ greatly (e.g. in an old building 80% heating and 20% hot water, in a new build 50% heating and 50% hot water). The savings potentials shown represent average values in an individual analysis and refer to factory settings as a starting point. Since there are dependencies between the parameters, the individual percentages cannot be added together. The total savings are less than the sum of the savings potentials mentioned.
