PP pipe

A PP pipe is a pipe made of the plastic polypropylene, which is used in many areas of building technology due to its extreme resistance to acids and heat as well as its long durability. In heating technology, PP pipes are the best choice for drinking water preparation and heating systems such as low-temperature or condensing boilers. In panel heating systems, such as underfloor heating, PP pipes have been in use for about 30 years.

The material polypropylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic which is completely recyclable and environmentally friendly. It has excellent resistance to chemicals, corrosion and heat, as well as a sound-insulating effect that makes flow noises quieter in PP pipes than in metal pipes. Since PP pipes are not translucent, there is also no algae formation. Moreover, PP pipes last up to 50 years and longer, even under high loads. In addition, PP pipes can be welded, which makes them particularly safe composite pipe systems.
