High-efficiency pumps adapt to the actual heating and service water requirements. The pumps are used in heating or solar systems as circulator pumps or in a hot water pipe network as circulation pumps. As a heating pump, the high-efficiency pump circulates the heated water from the boiler to the storage tank or radiators and the cooled water back to the boiler. In solar thermal systems, it ensures the circulation of the solar fluid between the solar collectors and the storage tank. As a drinking water pump, the high-efficiency pump ensures that the hot water is circulated as required.

High-efficiency pumps are electronically controlled and are equipped with a special drive such as the permanent magnet motor By using permanent energy, the pump can be operated in a highly energy-efficient manner. While single-level heating pumps consume 575 kWh of electricity per year, modern high-efficiency pumps only need 138 kWh per year. Therefore, a high-efficiency pump reduces electricity consumption by up to 76%.

Many new high-efficiency pump models also feature add-on and diagnostic software that can be accessed online via smartphones, for example. In some cases, this also makes hydraulic balancing much easier.
