Fundamentally, all heat pumps operate on the same principle: they extract thermal energy from the environment and convert it into heat for your heating system.
A split heat pump system comprises two main units - indoor and outdoor - while a monobloc heat pump has most components integrated into a single unit, which can be installed either inside or outside.
In a split system’s outdoor unit, ambient air is drawn in, the refrigerant evaporates, and is then compressed in the compressor. The heat is transferred to the heating circuit in the condenser, housed within the indoor unit. This indoor unit is compact and offers flexible installation options within the home, containing only the condenser, circulation pump, and control and safety components.
With indoor-mounted monobloc units, like our , all key system components are integrated into one device, eliminating the need for long-distance heat transfer. Outdoor air is drawn in and expelled through wall openings. This setup is ideal for new builds, as the placement and necessary wall penetrations can be planned from the start. Plus, the system remains almost invisible from the outside.
