Single-storey heating system
Single-storey heating systems are natural gas-fired heating systems that provide heat for one floor of a single or multiple family house with one or more units. A gas-only boiler is available for a single-storey heating circuit or as a gas combination boiler to also provide for the supply of hot water.
By burning natural gas, heat is generated, which is used to warm the heating water via a heat exchanger and, in the case of combined heat and power boilers, the hot water in a separate heating circuit in the form of an instantaneous water heater. The heating water is transported over short distances to the radiators and the service water to the tapping points.
Storey heating systems enable residents to determine for themselves how much heating energy is to be supplied to the radiators or for the hot water, thus enabling accurate billing. Due to the absence of long pipe routes, there is hardly any heat loss. There is no need for a boiler room and the compact floor heating systems are often designed as wall-mounted heaters. It is not possible to combine them with a solar heating system or to choose the type of fuel you want.
