Solar energy storage tank

In order to achieve optimum efficiency with solar energy and to be able to draw on this energy at any time, a solar storage tank is required. There are solar batteries to store electricity generated by photovoltaic systems and solar heatstorage tanks to store thermal solar energy generated by solar thermal energy. The size of the solar storage tank depends on the number of people as well as the number and volume of the points of withdrawal.
Solar storage tanks used for hot water for heating and/or service water are buffer storage tanks that keep the heated water in insulated tanks and from there, supply the heating system or hot water tapping points. Should the stored heat of the water no longer be sufficient, a solar pump is activated, which pumps the heat from the solar collector tubes to the solar storage tank.
Electric power solar storage units are large lithium-ion batteries available in various designs, which have a battery management system and a charge controller. They can be used in combination with other heating systems, such as heat pumps, to supply them with the electricity that they require.
