Your installer activates the flexible space function if your installation requires a minimal protective zone.
A look under the cover
How does the flexible space function work?
The flexible space function is not merely an add-on; it’s a fully integrated system function that requires your careful consideration from the start. This option demands technical adjustments, as the standard product does not support it. Our engineers have meticulously redeveloped the heat pump control software, ensuring seamless operation while significantly reducing space restrictions.
Once activated, this feature is permanently active and influences various components within the device. You can expect a slight increase in electricity consumption, approximately 25 kW/h per year. Your installer is able to activate the flexible space function, granting you a new level of freedom in placing your heat pump.
Understanding the difference.
The flexible space function in action.
- Freestanding heat pump installation
- Heat pump wall installation

On the left you can see the freestanding unit before the flexible space function. It requires 1 meter radius as a protective area around the heat pump.
On the right you can see the freestanding installation after activation of the flexible space functionality. The heat pump now only requires 0.5 meters at the back of the heat pump and 0.1 m space from the ground.
