The entire heat pump unit can be flexibly installed directly on the building or in the surrounding outdoor area. The installation requires a resilient, durable, horizontal heat pump base. The ambient air is drawn in and immediately discharged to the outside. In this way, the heating water is also treated outside the building and passed on to the internal heat storage and heat distribution system through insulated pipes.

- Wind-protected area.A location that is not in the main wind direction avoids cool exhaust air getting back into the intake opening. This maintains efficiency and keeps electricity costs manageable.
- Orientation toward the street.When the exhaust direction is oriented toward the street, possible operating noises don't disturb. Additionally, no walkway should be within about three meters to avoid icy surfaces from cool exhaust air.
- Free access.The location should be chosen so that specialists can reach the heat pump easily at any time. This facilitates maintenance work and ensures reliable operation.
